Singhania Villa :
The next morning, the ladies of the Singhania family were busy preparing for dinner that night. Shulekha asked, "Shalini, what should we make for dessert? They are coming for the first time, so everything should be perfect."
Shalini thought for a moment and replied with a smile, "Don't worry, Didi. Everything will be fine. You should make Gajar ka Halwa for dessert." Shulekha nodded and then asked, "Where is Arohi?"
"I am here, Maa," Arohi said as she joined the ladies. "Do you need any help, Badi Maa?"
"No, I just wanted to remind you about your important meeting today," Shulekha said.
"Thank you, Badi Maa. I forgot about it," Arohi said, feeling guilty, and hugged her badi Maa and Maa, who lovingly patted her head.
At 9 AM, Kabir descended the stairs and wished the elders good morning. He started heading towards the main door to leave for the office when
Harshvardhan said, "Kabir, be on time today. I don't want any excuses."
Shulekha added, "Yes, we don't want them to think badly about our family, Alok is also out of station for the conference ."
Kabir understood their concerns, nodded, and left for the office. He immersed himself in work to keep his mind off Aadrika, not paying attention to the time.
It was already 8 pm when he groaned for forgetting about dinner. "Dammit, how can I be so irresponsible?" He immediately headed towards the villa,
driving harshly to reach faster so that her father and mother would be less disappointed.
At the Sharma house, the day began with breakfast where they discussed the dinner plans.
Anil said, "Better don't be late today, Aadu," and
Sharda added, "Please wear something Indian today. Don't come wearing your daily baggy outfits."
"Okay, okay, maa and papa, as you both say," she replied, surrendering herself.
During the whole time, Aadrika noticed Ishani was nervous.
She called her to her room and asked, "Isha, why are you nervous?" Isha replied, fidgeting with her fingers, "Dee, what if they don't like me?"
"Nobody can reject my ishu. She is the best, and dare you to say anything wrong about her," Aadrika answered her question, smiling and threatening her at the last part. Ishani chuckled and hugged her sister.
Aadrika headed towards her office. The whole day went by in a blur for her as she worked sincerely on her very important incoming project.
She left the office at 7 to go to the Sharma house to get ready. Everybody had already left for Singhania Villa as it was quite far from their house.
Aadrika quickly changed into her simple kurti and jeans to leave but as usual, there was a lot of traffic.
She finally reached around 8:15 outside the house but a car came at great speed towards her, splashing water from the puddle over her. She was furious because she was already late and now this.
She walked towards the driver and when the person came out of the driving seat, she shouted at him, but the person was stunned and shocked to see her like this.
"Mr. Singhania, because of you I am wet," she scoffed at him.
"What!! But I haven't done anything till now, Dove," he replied, shocked at her words and saying the last part slowly to himself.
"You were the one in the car, right? Driving so harshly that water splashed over me and I am wet," she retorted back.
"You were talking about this? I thought... Nevermind," he replied and walked past her without listening to her reply.
She stomped her feet in annoyance and headed back to Sharma's house to change and freshen up. She texted Raghav:
Aadrika: Did you reach?
Raghav: Yes, about to leave.
Aadrika: Can you please pick me up too?
Raghav: Yup, but why are you so late?
Aadrika: I will tell you later...
After 15 minutes, Raghav came to pick her up on his bike.
Raghav said dramatically, "Hayee!! You look so beautiful in this anarkali."
Aadrika shook her head at his antics and said, "Chale."
They finally reached at 9 and arushi was also waiting for them outside ...
As they entered the living room, Sharda replied sarcastically, "Finally, you are here."
She apologized to everyone and sought blessings from the elders, followed by Raghav and Arushi. "Kitni pyaare bacche hai," Shulekha appreciated them.
They smiled towards her, and Raghav whispered in Aadrika's ear, "Aunty, abhi tumhe janti nahi hai lag raha hai."
Aadrika gave him a tight-lipped smile.
Just then, Ruhaan and Ruhani came running toward Raghav.
"You are Raghav, right? That famous influencer," Ruhaan said.
Raghav was about to reply, but Ruhani interrupted him, saying, "I am your big fan. Can we have a handshake?" excitedly.
Again, Raghav was interrupted by Ruhaan, "Handshake nahi, hug me please," he said excitedly.
Everyone in the room chuckled seeing the drama, and Raghav gladly accepted their plea, but there was someone who saw him with jealousy-filled eyes.
"Baccho, unko baithne to do," Adhiraj said sternly.
They all settled down near the youngsters.
"Hi, I am Arohi, Advay's Bhabhi," Arohi started the conversation, looking towards them.
"Hey, Bhabhi, I am Ishani's sister, and they are my best friends," Aadrika replied on behalf of them.
Arohi nodded and complimented Aadrika for her dress.
Raghav immediately said, "See, I told you, sweetheart."
Aadrika gave him a soft and shy smile. Little did she know somebody was continuously listening to their conversation with jealousy and anger, and that was none other than Kabir.
Advay said, "Bhen kiski hai."
Ishani said within seconds, "Meri."
And everyone chuckled listening to them.
"You look really cute, bhaiya and bhabhi," said Ruhaan and Ruhani together.
The couple gave a shy smile, and everybody said, "Awwwww."
The elders were discussing the ceremony
when Harshvardhan said, "Anil ji, if you are fine then, we can have the engagement next week."
Anil replied with a smile, "hume koi dikkat nhi hai ."
" shopping ke liye sath mei chalenge sharda jii " shulekha asked.
"Yes, of course, and then we also have to meet for the work at the orphanage," Sharda enthusiastically added.
"So, it's decided then. We will go shopping this Sunday," Shalini asserted excitedly. The ladies nodded happily.
Meanwhile, Kabir was sitting nearby lost in his thoughts until his friend's voice interrupted him. Soon, two men entered the gathering.
One of them apologized, "I hope we are not late."
Aadrika recognized the voice and turned towards the man; it was none other than Aman Singh, Aadrika's boss. They were both equally shocked to see each other.
Aman, surprised, asked, "Aadrika, what are you doing here?" Aadrika replied awkwardly, "I am Ishani's sister, sir." Confused, Aman asked, "Ishani?"
Advaay clarified, "My fiancé' bhai ."
"Okay, nice. Now I will know my best employee personally," Aman said with a smile towards everyone.
Kabir intervened rudely, "Your interrogation is over; let's have dinner," glaring at him.
Aman just shrugged his shoulders. Rajveer remarked to Aman, " koi to kadbad hai aman " Aman responded, " sahi kaha tune."
Aadrika thought to herself, 'How could someone be so rude?' but shrugged off her thoughts.
During the whole conversation, two people were lost in each other's eyes. Rajveer's eyes held guilt, sadness, and loneliness, while Arushi's eyes held pain of betrayal, sadness, and also love, which was hidden behind immense anger. Rajveer averted his eyes, unable to see the hatred in hers.
During dinner, Kabir's attention was solely on Aadrika and Raghav.
After dinner, everyone settled in the living room and enjoyed dessert.
Then Ruhani said, "Aadu dee," paused for a few seconds, and asked, "I can call you that, right?" Aadrika smiled and nodded, and Ruhani continued, "Your trio's night stay photos were really cool."
Three of them smiled and asked for her ID, which she gladly shared. After bidding goodbye to everyone, they returned to their respective houses.
Kabir desperately wanted to see the photo, so he asked for Ruhani's phone, stating that he needed it for a security update. She gave it to him without asking any questions.
Kabir smirked internally at his intelligence and headed towards his room. He opened her ID but, after seeing her photos of the night stay and reading the comments, a pang of jealousy hit him.
He immediately closed her ID, returned Ruhani'sphone, and thought, 'I shouldn't care,let her do what she wants. She left the dinner for this stupid reason '
